How Scroll supported Remoters in its launch

In March 2021, the start-up Remoters decided to launch its activity with an innovative concept: to allow workers to telework around the world. Just after the health crisis, the founders Luc and Damien, found this brilliant concept and decided to create: Remoters. The start-up offering you housing to work remotely.

But of course with a concept like this, having a website as soon as they launch their business is inevitable. This is why the founders called on Scroll in March 2021, to help them create their website and thus develop their business.

Activity:
Telework 2.0

mission

The first commercial meeting was a general briefing: getting to know Luc and Damien (the founders), what is their project, what is the stage of progress of the project, what are the resources put in place, etc... The aim is to quickly understand the identity of the start-up and the means to be put in place to help them. The project consisted of two parts: the branding of the company and the development of its website.

Creation of a visual identity:

The creation of branding included: the creation of a graphic charter, the creation of a logo, the creation of illustrations to dress the website and finally the creation of a model to develop the website. In other words, it was a question of creating everything here, so it was necessary to succeed in ensuring that all the elements were coherent while corresponding to the expectations of the start-up.

A beautiful interactive site:

Particular attention was paid to the design of the site thanks to the illustrations created, but the site also had to be interactive to keep the visitor attentive during his visit and encourage him to continue to discover the website. The site was developed by optimizing SEO with a technically clean site: tags, heading, etc...

Creating a form:

To collect visitors' projects, Scroll has set up a form in order to collect the expectations and requirements of the visitor. Once the information was collected, the start-up could then offer him a project corresponding to his expectations. The form includes multiple questions to meet the expectations of visitors. But this form has some changes that we will let you discover a little later in this reading...

Branding creation

For the first part, which concerned branding, our UX/UI manager took care of various elements. After the presentation appointment, the work started with a benchmark on competitors in the sector.

Subsequently, our UX/UI manager established several trend boards, which are boards each with a particular style and design that are then presented to the customer, the latter choosing or modifying the one that inspires him the most. The trendy board chosen was this one:

The colors in the graphic chart come from the illustration above because they were perfectly suited to their request: soft colors, but impacting with contrasts.

Then, it was a question of creating the logo, for this, 3 logo choices are offered to them and a workshop to modify the last logo settings, followed by the choice of fonts. For the creation of the logo, our UX/UI manager imagined an interactive logo, when the logo comes alive, it starts by representing a wifi symbol (reference to remote work), then turns into a character on a hammock (reference to relaxation/vacation).

For the illustrations intended to dress the site, our UX/UI manager has integrated illustrations on real photos, which allows the site visitor to project himself in the place of the character.

The model that is used to create the appearance of the website before development was created on Figma, so our UX/UI manager created this model in collaboration with the founders with regular feedback to be sure to create a model that meets 100% of their expectations.

In total, the branding work (creation of the brand identity + illustrations + UX/UI of the site) lasted 5 days. And the creation of the 2-day model.

Once the branding/design part was finished, the development of the website could begin, so our UX/UI manager passed the baton to our developer who developed the project on Webflow.

Creation of the website

The Remoters project was the first project developed by Scroll, and especially a complete project since it included the creation of the brand's branding and the complete creation of their website. It was therefore full of ambition, but also apprehension that Scroll started this project, because the team knew that this project was a first decisive test for the development of the agency.

During the development of the project, the Remoters team had access to the entire back office via the Webflow editor in order to keep an eye on on the progress of the project and be able to adjust the situation in case of incomprehension. In addition, we held regular meetings with the founders in order to settle every detail and show the progress of the project.

The development of the site started in March and lasted 1 month.

Feedback

I had the opportunity to collaborate with the Scroll team at two stages of the life of my project: that of the MVP (Graphic Design/Webflow/Typeform) and that of the deployment (Bubble/Integromat/Airtable). In both cases: professional, effective, much cheaper than what was offered elsewhere. And above all the pleasure of talking to passionate people. If the company is on the right track now, the Scroll team has a lot to do with it. I highly recommend it.
